Declaración de parte de la sociedad civil sobre la resolución del Consejo de Derechos Humanos de la ONU

En una resolución adoptada por consenso el lunes 12 de julio, y patrocinada por 54 Estados, el Consejo de Derechos Humanos de las Naciones Unidas reafirmó su reconocimiento de los Principios de Abiyán sobre el derecho a la educación, instando a los Estados a actuar contra la comercialización de la educación, y solicitó a la ONU que trabaje con la Alianza Mundial para la Educación (GPE, por sus siglas en inglés) para implementarlo. 
 
Está declaración está firmado por 25 organizaciones, entre ellas RTE.

في يوم الأربعاء ٢٨ أبريل استضافت مبادرة الحق في التعليم(RTE)  بالمشاركة مع الحملة العربية للتعليم للجميع  حلقة دراسية شبكية في سياق فعاليات الأسبوع العالمي للتعليم لهذا العام. استقطب الحدث مشاركين ومتحدثين من عدة دول عربية من أجل تداول وجهات النظر حول التحديات الخاصة التي تواجهها المنطقة.

Using the Abidjan Principles to inform local and national education plans in Nepal

The National Campaign for Education Nepal (NCE), a national education coalition of 409 civil society organizations, has been working at the national and grassroots level on the implementation of the Abidjan Principles since their adoption in February 2019. In the context of COVID-19, more than 2,500 stakeholders including policy makers have been sensitised on the need to regulate the private actors during the pandemic, and the importance of the State obligations with regard to strengthening public education.
